The terms that govern your use of 88Facets.com and any purchase made through it.

By placing an order or using 88Facets.com, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they are written to be understood, not to obscure.

These Terms of Service govern all purchases made through 88Facets.com and all related communications, consultations, and services provided by us. They form a legally binding contract between you and 88Facets.com from the moment your order is confirmed.

2. Ordering

How a contract is formed

All orders placed through 88Facets.com are subject to acceptance by us. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase; the contract is formed when we send you a written order confirmation. We reserve the right to decline any order before confirmation is issued.

3. Pricing & payment

Prices, VAT, and payment

All prices shown on 88Facets.com are in Euros (EUR) and include applicable VAT where required by law. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is confirmed. If a pricing error is discovered after confirmation, we will contact you with the correct price and give you the option to proceed or cancel with a full refund.

Payment is processed securely via Shopify Payments at the time of order. We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment card details are encrypted and never stored by 88Facets.com. For bespoke commissions, we may request a deposit at the time of brief confirmation, with the balance due before dispatch.

4. Bespoke & custom orders

Custom commissions — what you need to know

The majority of what we make at 88Facets.com is bespoke — created to your specific brief, with a stone selected and a design executed for your commission alone. Before production begins, we confirm all specifications with you in writing. It is your responsibility to verify that the confirmed specification is correct before approving production.

5. Production & delivery

Timelines and shipping

Our standard production time is 18 working days from order confirmation. This is an estimate, not a guarantee; we will notify you promptly if production is delayed. Delivery within the EU typically takes 3–4 working days after dispatch; UK and Switzerland 4–5 working days. All shipments are insured for their full value and require a signature on receipt.

Delivery is free of charge for all orders to Latvia, the EU, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. For deliveries to the UK and Switzerland, import duties or local VAT may apply and are the responsibility of the recipient. Title to the goods passes to you on delivery.

6. Returns & cancellation

Right of withdrawal and returns

For in-stock, non-customised items, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of delivery, in accordance with EU consumer law. To exercise this right, notify us in writing at info@88facets.com within 14 days of receipt. The item must be returned unworn, in its original packaging, with all documentation intact. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer unless the item is faulty.

Your statutory rights in relation to faulty or non-conforming goods are not affected by the above. Full details are set out in our Returns & Exchange policy at 88Facets.com/pages/returns-exchange.

7. Warranty

Our warranty commitments

Every piece made by 88Facets.com carries a two-year structural warranty against manufacturing defects, a first-year free resizing guarantee, and a lifetime service relationship including complimentary cleaning, polishing, and annual inspection. Full details at 88Facets.com/pages/warranty.

In addition to our commercial warranty, your statutory rights under Directive 2019/771/EU on the sale of goods provide a minimum two-year legal guarantee against non-conformity. Our commercial warranty supplements and does not limit these statutory rights.

8. Intellectual property

Ownership of designs and content

All content on 88Facets.com — including photography, design renders, text, and branding — is the property of 88Facets.com and may not be reproduced or used without our prior written consent.

For bespoke commissions, the physical ring and the agreed design belong to you on delivery and full payment. We retain the right to use photographs of completed commissions for portfolio and marketing purposes unless you have explicitly requested otherwise in writing before delivery.

9. Limitation of liability

Our liability to you

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, 88Facets.com's liability for any claim arising from the purchase of goods or use of the website is limited to the price paid for the relevant goods. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of enjoyment — except where such loss results from our negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms.

10. Governing law & disputes

Legal framework and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence, to the extent that they provide greater protection than Latvian law.

If a dispute arises, please contact us first at info@88facets.com. We will make every effort to resolve complaints within 10 business days. If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, EU residents may refer the matter to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

For Latvian consumers, disputes may also be referred to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centrs — PTAC) at ptac.gov.lv.

11. Changes to these terms

Updates

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The current version is always available at 88Facets.com/pages/terms-of-service. Orders placed before a revision are governed by the terms in effect at the time of order confirmation.
